Desert Minis, Inc., owned by Janet Smith, specializes in making one of a kind, high-quality miniature foods, focusing in small scale miniatures (primarily quarter scale foods, with both half scale and micro scale represented.)  Suitable for use in dollhouses or other miniature scenes including restaurants, bistros, Italian, Mexican or other ethnic restaurants, picnic scenes or bakeries.  I carry both single serving dishes as well as main dishes and side dishes that can be served family style.  Or try something a little different and wear some miniature foods as jewelry.

Welcome to our site!  Please look around.  If there is anything you want that you don’t see, contact us as we’re always willing to try new things.  Except where noted, items are quarter scale.  Any quarter scale foods that you see can be requested in other scales.  For the DIY (do-it-yourself)-er, we also offer a range of miniature food kits, mostly in quarter scale, but you can ask about other scales.  Our show and class schedule can be found on this site.  You will find that our small scale miniature foods are available at many locations in the U.S.  If you see a class you like, but you can’t attend a show where it is taught, contact us.  You can often purchase a kit with instructions suitable for doing at home, or special arrangements can be made for classes at your local miniature shop or dollhouse club meeting.
